Just In: Ondo Govt Extends Third Term Holiday For Primary and Secondary Schools

Ondo state government has extended third term holiday in the 2020/2021 academic calendar for primary and secondary schools by two weeks.

Instead of the one week holiday already slated in the calendar, it will now be three weeks according to the new changes made to the calendar by the government.

The development is contained in a circular signed by the Director, School Services, Ondo state Ministry of Education, Mr Akindele Ige.

Primary and secondary schools calendar in Nigeria was altered in 2020 following the lockdown announced by the federal government to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus during which schools were closed for almost five months.

Upon resumption, government designed new calendar for schools to help them meet up with 2020/2021 academic session, a situation which shortened all end of term holidays.
