BREAKING: Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Adetunji, Joins His Ancestors

The Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji Ajeogunguniso II has joined his ancestors.

The monarch, who died at age 93, passed away on Sunday at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo state.

His death was confirmed by palace sources who pleaded anonymity on Sunday.

However, when contacted, the monarch’s aides neither confirmed his death nor denied it.

Oba Adetunji was a successful businessman before he became monarch.

This is coming 22 days after the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Oladunni Oyewunmi joined his ancestors at the age of 95.

Oba Adetunji was crowned the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan following his coronation on March 4, 2016.

Prior to his coronation as the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji was the Balogun of Ibadanland.
