Appeal Court Victory: Ajipe Congratulates Akeredolu

Chief Dr Alex Ajipe, the Convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS, has congratulated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State over his victory at the Appeal Court.

Ajipe, in a statement signed by his media aide Solomon Adewoye, also congratulated members, leaders and supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on the victory.

He mentioned that Governor Akeredolu deserved the victory in an election considered free and fair by local and international observers and praised the Independent National Election Commission for conducting one of the best elections in Ondo State during the last governorship elections.

“This judgment is a victory for democracy and rule of law and not the rule of men through which PDP had in the past illegally usurped the people’s mandates at gunpoint in South West states, thus denying the people their right to elect their leaders,” Ajipe explained.

“On behalf of all IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS across the state, I congratulate your Excellency on this landmark victory at the Appeal Court. I also congratulate members, leaders and teeming supporters of our great party, the All Progressives Congress on this victory.

“We are confident that the governor will live up to the expectations of Ondo people who voted for him by delivering quality services that will enhance their living conditions.”

“To me, this is indeed a victory for democracy and the good people of sunshine State who freely gave Arakunrin the mandate to govern them for another term. This will also serve as a boost for the Governor to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to our people,” Ajipe added.

Furthermore, he commended the Governor for not allowing the barrage of court cases filed by the candidate of the PDP, Eyitayo Jegede, and that of Jumoke Ajasin and Adojutelegan to distract him from fulfilling his electoral promises to the people.

“the issue of further developing Ondo State remains the key denominator and not the unending court litigation over unsubstantiated allegations relating to an election that was admittedly won under free and fair circumstances’”

Ajipe therefore advised Jegede to accept the concurrent findings and judgments of the trial court and the Appeal Court as a re-affirmation of the verdict of Ondo people, which was delivered by their majority votes during the governorship election that was conducted on October 20th, 2020
